Take a seat, take a stand.

The world’s first seated march.

In 2018, the women’s movement was on the rise, but women were still sidelined in sports. WNBA tickets weren’t selling.

The inspiration for this idea came from an unlikely place: a bar with two tip jars, one for The Beatles and one for The Rolling Stones. The bartender told me they’d been getting more tips ever since they started letting customers choose sides. It got me thinking: what if choosing a seat could also mean choosing a cause?

WNBA Take a Seat, Take a Stand arena diagrama

How to take a stand: arena division

We partnered with women’s organizations and gave each their own section of the arena. Every ticket became a vote of support, with a portion of the proceeds going to the corresponding cause.
A way to show that supporting women in sports means supporting women everywhere.
